On December 12, 2019, the representatives of state authorities and regional entrepreneurs took part in a meeting held at the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Karaganda Region, where the substation products and transformers of Alageum Electric JSC and supplies from China financed by the International Fund for Cooperation and Industry SRC (PRC) were presented.
While giving a welcome speech, the head of the project support department of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Karaganda Region, Adil Seilov explained to businessmen the details of the Government Decree No. 358 dated July 26, 2019 “On introducing the withdrawals from the national regime” and its application in public procurement. In order to protect the domestic market and ensure economic development in the course of public procurement, goods originating from foreign states shall be withdrawn from the national regime. However, goods produced by local legal entities, including Alageum Electric JSC, holding a “CT-KZ” certificate, are allowed to participate in public procurement.
The representative of Karaganda branch of Alageum Electric Yerlan Naukhanbek informed the guests on the activities of Alageum Electric JSC and construction of a panel radiator manufacturing shop. Ural Transformer Plant LLP will start the panel radiator production in 2020. The representative of Kentau Transformer Plant Nurzhan Sarsenov informed on the production of new products, such as vacuum switches under VV-AE trademark, DRP microprocessor protection, as well as KCO2-20kV, KRU and KERNEU high voltage units. Plant representatives also touched on the topic of the production of concrete substations produced by Aktau Transformer Plant LLP.
“An electrical engineering company is bringing to electric power market a full range of services on a turn-key basis” with subsequent service support. The company developed the first-ever in the Central Asia and Kazakhstan super-power autotransformer with a capacity of 63 MVA and voltage 220 kV. For instance, Kazakhstan built most of its substations in the 80s of the 20th century and in the nearest future, they will require a massive modernization. “To replace foreign goods with domestic ones” is the main philosophy of Kazakhstan import substitution program. Kentau Transformer Plant JSC is intensively working in this direction. An autotransformer with a capacity of 63 MVA and voltage 220 kV is a vivid example of large-scale work being done for import substitution in Kazakhstan”, said Yerlan Naukhanbek during the meeting.
